I wanted to go back to this room for two reasons. One is that when I started the comic I didn't really have a lot of patience or experience drawing backgrounds outside of tedious still lives and perspective assignments for art classes back in high school.

I'm no so concerned about learning how to draw things right (although I need to put a lot more effort into that.) but rather I wanted to keep this room space looking at the start, so I wouldn't burn out and quit drawing RS after three weeks. Every time I switch scenes and locations in the comic I try and work more on the backgrounds, both in terms of how they look and what is in them.

Rydal's Story is kind of built off this idea as a whole, I never intend to attempt to publish it, so I allow myself lenience to experiment, get better at things and change my mind.

Future projects will have stricter requirements, but part of the journey with Rydal's Story is for me to grow as an artist/ story teller so that when I begin to create the final drafts of other stories I already know how to work out my mistakes, and what works and does not work for me in story telling.

But in retrospect this room was very poorly designed :/

Thank you for reading!
